KSP: Child injured in rollover accident

BREMEN, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say an 11-year old boy was taken to the hospital after being involved in a rollover accident on KY 81 in Bremen in Muhlenberg County. Investigators say 41-year old Cassaundra Pointer, of South Carrollton, was driving a 2005 Toyota Celica southbound when the car dropped off the shoulder of the road. The car hit a concrete driveway, overturned and came to rest upright, partially in the road, according to KSP.

The driver wasn’t hurt, but her son, Christian Pointer, was taken by ambulance to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. State Police say the child and his mother were both wearing seat belts. The accident happened just after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
