KSP: Bullitt Co. man charged with child sexual exploitation offenses
SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 24, 2019) — Kentucky State Police arrest a Bullitt County man on child sexual exploitation offenses.
On Wednesday, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested 31-year-old Jonathan D. Cole on charges relating to distribution and possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.
Cole was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.
The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect was distributing sexually explicit images online.
Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
Cole was charged with 20 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and 20 counts of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Cole was lodged in the Bullitt County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
