KSP Ask For Help To “Cram the Cruiser”

Kentucky State Police need your help, but this time it doesn’t involve tips for catching criminals.

They’ve begun their third annual "Cram the Cruiser" food drive.

At every state police post there is a police car waiting to be filled with nonperishable food.

You can donate any time from now until December 14th.

Troopers will turn the food over to shelters, churches, and other organizations donating the goods to peopel who need it this holiday season.
Last year, KSP collected more than 50,000 pounds of food.
Some things they suggest donating are canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, boxed macaroni and cheese, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned soup, chili, or spaghetti sauce, brownie and cake mixes, coffee, bottled water, and powdered milk and juices.

You can find the donation site closest to you here.
