KSP: Ashland man arrested for threatening District Judge
ASHLAND, Ky. (WTVQ)- Kentucky State Police say they have arrested a man after using social media to threaten a Greenup County District Judge.
KSP says 41-year-old Matthew Conley was arrested Saturday at his home. Troopers say Conley was intoxicated upon arrest. He was taken to the Greenup County Detention Center.
State police say that the next day, it was determined that Conley had disregarded a court ordered diversion on the night of his arrest, which prohibited him from having access to handguns and other firearms, and required he remain drug and alcohol free. That order had been in effect since February 13, 2014. A search warrant was Conley’s home by Kentucky State Police Troopers, where evidence was discovered which substantiated his violation of the mandate.
