KSP: 2 arrested for distributing child pornography online
SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two men have been arrested after Kentucky State Troopers say they found them distributing child pornography online.
Officers say 28-year-old Anthony Patterson and 54-year-old Jimmy Hammons were arrested on September 17, as the result of separate undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigations. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspects sharing images of prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts online.
Patterson is currently charged with 20 counts of possession and two counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Hammons is currently charged with 20 counts of possession and five counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.
All charges are Class D Felonies, with each count punishable by one to five years in prison. Both men were taken to the Pulaski Co. Detention Center.
