Knox County Sheriff investigating death in Flat Lick

FLAT LICK, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Knox County Sheriff’s Department is looking into the death of 37-year-old David Howard, of Pineville.

Around 1 p.m. Wednesday, Knox County 911 received a call about a man found trapped under a vehicle in the Flat Lick area. Deputies found Howard dead under a small car, the department said in a press release.

Knox EMS, the Knox County SORT Team and East Knox Fire Department responded to help the recovery efforts. Kentucky State Police also came to aid in the investigation and identification.

The Knox County Coroner’s Office is also assisting the investigation and helped identify Howard.

According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department, no foul play is suspected, but the investigation is ongoing.
