Kittens killed in Mount Vernon house fire

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Firefighters say a house fire Sunday afternoon in Mount Vernon killed some family pets.

The Mount Vernon Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire on Daily Street.

Everyone living in the home got out safe, but firefighters say two of the seven kittens in the home died in the fire.

There is no word on a cause.
