Kentucky man, wife die following Indiana motorcycle crash

COLUMBUS, Ind. (AP) – South-central Indiana police say a Kentucky man and his wife have died from injuries they suffered when their motorcycle collided with a sport-utility vehicle.

Columbus police spokesman Sgt. Matt Harris tells The Republic ( ) that Robert and Vicky Porter died Monday night at an Indianapolis hospital. Both were 53.

Harris says the Hebron, Kentucky, couple was riding on a motorcycle Monday afternoon when it collided with an SUV on the west side of Columbus, about 50 miles south of Indianapolis.

The Porters were airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital and were pronounced dead there hours later.
