FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- There are plenty of things to see and do this holiday season at the Kentucky History Center and Museums in historic downtown Frankfort, run by the Kentucky Historical Society (KHS)!

Genealogy expert Cheri Daniels first tells us how, when everyone is gathered for the holidays, it’s a great time to work on your family history. She offers tips on questions to ask and things to do when collecting your family’s story.

Next, Kentucky Historical Society’s Executive Director, Scott Alvey, takes us inside the brand new Kentucky Historical Society HistoryMobile and tells how you can bring it to your town. KHS partnered with the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame in Elizabethtown on this exhibit, which celebrates the first 100 years of this legendary tradition as an organized high school sport.

We wrap up with a Kentucky Historical Society holiday tradition, the Holiday History Train. Senior curator Julie Kemper tells you all about this model train, operated by Mel Trivette and family, and what else you can expect to see and do when you visit the History Center.
