Kentucky Cruises Past UT Arlington 92-44

Number one ranked Kentucky remained unbeaten on the young season with an easy 92-44 over UT Arlington on Tuesday night in Rupp Arena.

Kentucky was led in scoring by freshman Devin Booker who had the hot hand and finished with 19-points.  He was 7-of-8 from the field, including 5-of-6 from beyond the arc.  He was one of six Wildcats who scored in double figures.

Freshman Karl-Anthony Towns turned in his first double-double as a Kentucky Wildcat.  He finished with 13-points, 11-rebounds, 4-assists, 3-blocks and one steal.

In the first six games, no Kentucky player has scored 20 or more points.

With the win, Kentucky improved to 6-0.  UT Arlington fell to 3-2.

The Mavericks were led in scoring by Lonnie McClanahan, who finished with 10-points.

Kentucky jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.  At one point, the Wildcats went on a 30-0 run.  They led 55-12 at the half.

The only statistic that didn’t look good on Kentucky’s box score sheet was the 18-turnovers the Wildcats had in the game.

Kentucky will get a brief Thanksgiving holiday break before returning to action at home on Sunday at 2:00 p.n. (EST) against undefeated Providence.
