Kentucky couples encouraged to go KY Proud for their wedding day

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- A new campaign aims to get couples to show their Kentucky Pride on their wedding day.

Agricultural Commissioner Ryan Quarles started the campaign to give a couple’s special day a unique Kentucky flavor.

Commissioner Quarles says that there will be promotions with the campaign in the next few months that shows couples how Kentucky Proud can help take some stress out of wedding planning and make for a memorable event.

Kentucky has more than 650 agritourism destinations that make for ideal wedding venues.

Kentucky Proud producers and businesses are able to provide local food, flowers, and unique gifts for wedding day.

When couples buy Kentucky Proud, they are supporting Kentucky farm families and small businesses.

Couples are encouraged to post their Kentucky proud wedding plans and pictures on social media.
