Kentucky Attorney General introduces bill for drug abuse trust fund

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- Attorney General Andy Beshear announced legislation filed in the House that would create a permanent substance abuse trust fund.

The fund would have an oversight board that would administer dollars to law enforcement, treatment providers and prevention educators.

The trust fund would get money from settlement dollars in cases against irresponsible drug companies, manufacturers or distributors.
