Kentuckians warned of flood related price gouging

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- With the state of emergency, the Attorney General is asking people to be on the lookout for flood related price gouging.

If you experience anyone offering generators, building supplies, chainsaws, hotel rooms, and anything else necessary during this emergency at an overly high price, contact the AG’s office.

Often after flooding, some people will try to scam those who need help.

The Attorney General says stay away from those posing as contractors who demand full payment up front, don’t have a business address, and don’t show proper ID.
