‘Kentuckians Vote for Animals’ announces rally at the State Capitol

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – ‘Kentuckians Vote for Animals’ announced a rally will take place on the State Capitol steps Wednesday, February 6 at 1:30 p.m.

Organizers say the goal of the rally is to show support for pro animal legislation.

“Kentucky has been ranked the worst state for animal protection for the 12th year in a row by the Animal Legal Defense Fund,” said Cynthia Criswell, board member for ‘Kentuckians Vote for Animals.’

The Rally will begin at 1:30 p.m. with participants marching up the State Capitol steps to the veranda where several speakers will express the need for changes.

“We must come together as a state and demand better animal protection,” said Criswell.

Supporters are encouraged to bring signage for the march and rally.

Organizers hope participants will meet with their representative or senator by making an appointment with them prior to the rally.
