UPDATE: Keith Attorneys File Motion to Suppress Evidence
DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kenneth Keith, accused in the murders of Mike and Angela Hockensmith, and Dan Smith at the ABC Gold, Games, and More pawn shop in Danville back in 2013 appeared in a Boyle County Court on Tuesday.
Keith’s attorney has filed a motion to suppress evidence found at Keith’s home, at his business, and in his vehicle.
The attorney says the search warrants issued on Keith were invalid due to terminology used on the paperwork.
A suppression hearing will be held on December 15th at 1:30 p.m.
9/6/16 6:15 p.m.
The hearing for the former pastor accused in the Danville pawn shop killings of 2013 will not be moved to another location.
On Tuesday, a judge denied defense attorney’s requests for a change of venue out of Boyle County.
Attorneys for Kenneth Keith had said the case has been publicized to the point that the trial wouldn’t be fair.
Keith’s defense employed the help of a Centre College psychologist who, through a survey she wrote, determined a majority of participants already feel Keith is guilty in the murders of Mike and Angela Hockensmith, and Dan Smith, at the ABC Gold, Games, and More pawn shop.
