Kennedy Mill Bridge closed

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Motorists will need to use alternate routes around the Kennedy Mill Bridge.

As of 7 PM Wednesday, March 21, the bridge is closed until further notice.

The bridge is closed for necessary repairs and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways says that there is a replacement bridge being built adjacent to the existing bridge.

The bridge is closed at mile marker 18.849, which marks the Mercer-Garrard County line.

Motorists are asked to used US 27 and KY 34 to KY 33 as alternate routes.
