Juveniles accused of setting playground on fire

GREENVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Muhlenberg County playground was damaged early Monday morning and police say juveniles were responsible.

The Greenville Police Department says officers and firefighters responded to Greenville Elementary School at around 12:57 a.m. for a report of a fire on the playground.

A large portion of the playground equipment was damaged.

During the investigation, police say they learned three juveniles started the fire.

All three were charged with criminal mischief and one of the juveniles was also charged with possession of marijuana, according to police.
