Judge denies motion to block quarry rezoning in Clark Co.

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) –  A judge has ruled against a neighborhood association in Clark Co. that is trying to block a limestone quarry.

The Lexington Herald-Leader says the judge denied several motions to vacate the rezoning.  The Southwest Clark Neighborhood Association challenged the rezoning of 165 acres land that the Allen Company wants to use to reopen an underground quarry near Boonesboro.

A lawyer for the neighborhood association says an appeal is likely.
