Josephine Sculpture Park Says Art is for Everyone
Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ): The Josephine Sculpture Park is a beautiful park with a mission to provide community art eduction through free art workshops conducted by professional artist. Lyssa High went on an exclusive tour at the Frankfort, Kentucky park for the latest Hometown Tour.
The Josephine Sculpture Park is hosting the Fall Arts Festival at Josephine Sculpture Park: Sunday, Sep. 9thfrom 11am-6pm where professional artists conduct free workshops throughout the 30-acre park. Featuring live music, dance, free demonstrations & activities such as book binding, sculpting, printmaking, mural painting, pottery wheel, fabric dyeing, art scavenger hunts, walking tours & there are always a few other surprises! Guest artist Peyton Scott Russell will unveil his NEW sculpture and lead a hands-on graffiti painting workshop. Stop by his booth for an opportunity to meet and talk with him about this sculpture! Advanced workshops such as glass blowing, metal casting and blacksmithing are available for a small fee.
There is something for every age and ability at JSP! Soar above the sculptures in a hot air balloon ride, play in the bubbles of the bubble bug, simply walk the quiet paths and view the new sculpture exhibit.
Admission is free and parking is just $5. Food vendors will be onsite including Crank & Boom ice-cream, Mi Fiesta, West Sixth Brewing, Staxx BBQ, Mr. Gyro’s and more!
