Jessamine County To Offer Free Health Screenings Saturday
The event – taking place from 10 am to 2 pm – will offer men and women the opportunity to obtain free health screenings that can be crucial to their health and well-being, according to event organizers, as the screenings can find symptoms before diseases occur.
The free health screenings provided by local health care representatives and professionals during the event will include cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, E.K.G., pulse, body fat, height, weight, bone density, and derma scan.
Organizers say massage therapy and screening with a local chiropractor, dental screenings, balance screenings, and fall prevention information will also be available.
Also taking part will be representatives from Sam’s Club Hearing and Audio Department will provide screenings for eyes and ears.
If any abnormal results are discovered during the Health Check-up Day, participants are urged to follow up with a physician.
Appointments for the screenings during the Jessamine County Health Check-up Day are not necessary.
Free healthcare tips and advice will be available during the event, according to organizers, and experts will also be available to answer common health questions.
Representatives from Jazzercise and Smart 911 will also offer information during the event.
A complimentary light lunch will be provided, and participants will have the opportunity to register for door prizes.
Sponsors of the event include the Jessamine County Fiscal Court, Jessamine County Emergency Services/911, Jessamine County Schools, and the Jessamine County Health Department (JCHD).
