James Brown named 1st District Councilmember

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Mayor Jim Gray tapped James Brown for the responsibility of representing parts of east end, west end, and sections of historic downtown Lexington Monday.

The mayor appointed Brown as the new councilmember to replace Chris Ford for 1st district.  Brown took the oath of office earlier today in front of ministers, housing advocates and family and friends.

Brown is a realtor, and  currently president of the Radcliff-Marlboro neighborhood association.  He says he will also run for the seat in the fall elections.
