Jackson County delays start of school year
JACKSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – COVID-19 continues to present more issues for the return to school as Jackson County decides to delay the start of the school year.
The announcement was made in a post on the school district’s Facebook page.
“In light of current circumstances, we feel that an additional week of preparation would be in the best interest of our students, staff and community,” the post said. “We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this situation together.”
Jackson County Schools will now be back in session on Thursday, Aug. 19.
