UPDATE: Victim identified in deadly Pulaski Co. crash

SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ)- The motorcyclist killed in Tuesday’s crash has been identified.

The Somerset Police Department says 29-year-old Cody Dixon, of Somerset, was hit by a pickup truck on KY 914 and died from his injuries.

Police say a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup, being driven by 17-year-old Travis Whitt, was turning left onto Oakhill Road when he hit Dixon on a Suzuki Motorcycle.

They say Dixon was not wearing a helmet. Whitt and his passenger were not injured.

A reconstruction unit was on scene for several hours.

SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ)- A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday in an accident in Pulaski County, according to the Commonwealth Journal.

The newspaper reports the crash involving the motorcycle and a pickup truck happened at the KY 914 and Oakhill Road intersection.

The victim’s name wasn’t immediately released.

Somerset Police Captain Mike Correll told the newspaper that accident reconstructionists would be on the scene for several hours Tuesday evening. While the area would not be closed to traffic, motorists were asked to avoid the area and expect delays.
