Investigation after string of car break-ins at HS event in Knox Co.

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Knox Co. Sheriff’s Office is asking for information from the public about a series of car break-ins that happened in the Lynn Camp High School parking lot.

According to the Sheriff, the break-ins all occurred on November 20 during a “Meet the Lynn Camp Wildcats Basketball Team” event just before 7:00 p.m.

A deputy was called out to the school on a report of a car break-in and purse theft at the location.  The deputy says that after further investigation, five different vehicles had been broken into, with various items taken from each one.  The deputy also says a side window had been broken out of each car to gain entry.

Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies are currently following up on leads at this time and are asking for anyone having any information concerning these thefts to call the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 606-546-3181
