Instant racing machines open at The Red Mile on Saturday
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Racing fans can try their hands at 902 instant racing machines at The Red Mile in Lexington starting Saturday.
Mayor Jim Gray was on hand to help dedicate a new gambling parlor Thursday. It’s all part of $42-million dollar renovation of the harness racing track involving The Red Mile and Keeneland.
“It’s a big day for Lexington today,” said Mayor Gray, “We’re able to crown the winner’s circle, and celebrate 200 new jobs as well as inspiring a new face on racing in Lexington.”
The Family Foundation has sued over instant racing, saying current Kentucky law doesn’t allow it.
