Escaped inmate apprehended within several hours
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An inmate at Blackburn Correctional Complex walked away early Wednesday afternoon but was apprehended within a few hours of escaping, according to officials.
They say, Richard Bowling was apprehended by Lexington Police Department just after 2 p.m.
According to officials, Bowling was serving a 6-year sentence for convictions out of Laurel County for Receiving Stolen Property over $10,000.
Authorities say he would have been eligible for parole in July 2018.
Bowling has been lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center
