Inmate escapes from prison in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An inmate walked away from a minimum security prison in Lexington Tuesday night, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections.

Officials say 30-year old Brandon Edwards escaped around 7:15 p.m.

He was serving 10-years for burglary and theft out of Breckinridge County, according to the DOC.

Edwards is white, 5’10” tall, 160 pounds and bald.  He has brown eyes.

He would have been eligible for parole in September 2018, according to the state.
