Injured dog rescued, recovering in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A dog who was found terribly injured in Stanville, Ky. is now recovering at the Woodstock Animal Foundation in Lexington.

According to a statement from the foundation, a woman called them Saturday, saying the dog had wandered into the law office where the woman was working.  She told them the dog was missing part of her leg, and was thin and weak.  The dog was taken to a local vet, and miscarried three pups on the way.

Woodstock stepped in to take care of the dog, now called Trinity, and discovered she had a broken leg, as well as a BB in her side.  According to her caregivers, Trinity may have been the victim of stepping into an animal trap.  The foundation says this is the second rescue dog they’ve seen with similar injuries.
