Indiana man killed in collision in Trimble County

BEDFORD, Ky. (WTVQ) – An Indiana man was killed Thursday morning after causing a three vehicle crash on US 421 North near KY 2870 in Trimble County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Investigators say 64-year old Thomas Hooper, of Madison, Indiana, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier south on US 421 when his car crossed into the other lane, colliding with a 2017 Ford Escape and 2019 Toyota RAV 4.

Hooper died at the scene, according to KSP.  The driver of the Ford Escape was taken to an area medical facility for treatment of injuries, according to State Police.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Kentucky State Police Post 5.  The Trimble County Sheriff’s Office, Trimble County EMS, Trimble County Road Department and the Bedford Fire Department also responded and assisted on scene.
