Increased police presence at Lincoln Co. school after threat

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lincoln County parents received a call Friday morning, alerting them to a threat made against a school in the district.

Officials with Lincoln County Public Schools tells ABC 36 that a student made a threat against Lincoln County High School to another student on Thursday.

The student who made the threat was “evaluated,” according to officials. The student was not at school on Friday.

As a result of the threat, extra police are at the school.

The school district also canceled a pep rally scheduled for Friday afternoon.

The basketball game scheduled for Friday night at Lincoln County High School is still taking place.

District officials say there will also be increased police presence at the school for the game.
