LPD: Impaired woman knocks car into apt. building, 6 units damaged
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman faces a DUI charge after police say she hit a parked car, knocking it into an apartment building, forcing people in six units to temporarily find another place to live.
Police say the woman arrested is 45-year-old April Scott.
According to firefighters, it happened around 6:40 p.m. on Monday at Veridian Apartments on Armstrong Mill Road.
Investigators say no one was injured.
Firefighters say the apartment complex is bringing in a contractor and structural engineer Tuesday morning to assess the damaged building.
They also say no one can live in the damaged units until they are fixed by the apartment complex.
