LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – University of Kentucky Police on Friday released surveillance video of a woman who investigators call a "person of interest" in the theft of jewelry and cash from the school’s main administration building.

Investigators say the theft of $10,000 worth of jewelry from someone’s purse and $32 cash from another purse in another office in the building, was reported July 8, 2015.  Police say security camera video shows the woman walking into the main entrance of the administration building around 11:30 a.m.

Police say the video shows the woman took the elevator to the 3rd floor where she went into an office for an estimated 3-to-5 minutes.

Police say the video shows the woman left the office and took the stairs down to the 2nd floor where she went into another office for 2-to-3 minutes.

Investigators say the woman then walked out of the building and left in a gray or silver Ford Expedition.

UK Police are asking for any information about the identity of the woman or information about the vehicle.  Anyone with information is asked to call UK Police at 859-257-8573.
