I-64 motorcycle accident backs up Friday traffic

MT. STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ) – A motorcycle accident in the westbound lane of I-64 created backed up traffic to start the weekend.

According to the Mt. Sterling Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 4 p.m. on the stretch of I-64 between Winchester and Mt. Sterling.

There were no fatalities and those involved only sustained minor injuries.

Despite the congestion the accident caused, the roadway is now open.
