I-64 Closures Continue Near Owingsville

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is continuing their work on I-64 in Bath County which will require some ramp closures.

      July 9, the Exit 121 westbound off ramp from I-64 to KY 36 will be closed from 6 p.m. until midday July 10 when paving is finished. During the closure all westbound I-64 traffic coming from the direction of Morehead should reroute using Exit 123 to US 60 to connect with KY 36 in downtown Owingsville.

–       July 10, the Exit 121 eastbound off ramp from I-64 to KY 36 will be closed from 6 p.m. until midday July 11 when paving is finished. During the closure all eastbound I-64 traffic coming from the direction of Mount Sterling should reroute using Exit 123 to US 60 to connect with KY 36 in downtown Owingsville.

–       July 11, the Exit 123 eastbound off ramp from I-64 to US 60 will be closed from 6 p.m. until midday July 12 when paving is finished. During the closure all eastbound I-64 traffic coming from the direction of Mount Sterling should reroute using Exit 121 to KY 36 to connect with US 60 in downtown Owingsville.

Interstate 64 remains one lane throughout the Bath County work zone from mile markers 120 to 124. The speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph.

The work is part of a nearly 6-mile improvement and resurfacing project awarded by the Transportation Cabinet to Walker Company of Kentucky under a $5,951,375 low-bid contract last year.
