Hundreds ride for injured Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – People rallied Saturday for Jamie Morales, the Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy paralyzed in the line of duty.
The Georgetown Community Hospital hosted a bike ride with all the proceeds going to Morales.
“It’s always worth it. It could be snowing and we’d still be here,” said Mike Thacker with the Iron Shields Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. Thacker rode all the way from Indiana to support Morales.
Nearly 200 bikes left the hospital parking lot with a police escort.
Deputy Morales attended the event.
“We had a 9/11 event to honor all our law enforcement officers and all our emergency workers and Deputy Morales was here. When Kim came to us and said we wanted to raise funds for him, we were all in,” said Donna Davis with Georgetown Community Hospital.
