Hundreds gather for Downtown Christmas Parade

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The 2108 downtown Christmas parade featured boy scouts, Santa, furry pets and pageant winners.

Adam Kenner rode inside one of the firetrucks last year. This year, he’s enjoying the parade as a spectator. The son of a firefighter is still making sure things run smoothly.

“My dad had to teach one of them how to throw candy right because they always throw too close to the truck,” said Kenner.

He’s not the only one taking in the sights for the first time. Conny Baumann is an exchange student from Germany.

“I really like it. I’m from a really small town, so it’s really cool living in a bigger city,” said Baumann.
