Hundreds Attend Viewing For Firefighter Killed In Logging Accident

Family, friends and even strangers said their goodbyes tonight to an Elliottville Firefighter, who died in a logging accident on Tuesday.

Josh Ferguson started hanging around the local fire department when he was just 10-years-old, and he never left. Working his way up the rank to Captain by the time he was 30.

Tragically a life that was about to begin a new chapter with marriage, suddenly ended. A heavy loss for so many.

Many people said they will remember Ferguson for his caring and giving spirit.

His funeral will be held Friday morning at 11 a.m. at the Northcutt and Son Memorial Chapel in Morehead.

Firefighters from across the state are expected to attend.
