Human remains found, one arrested in connection to Savannah Spurlock case

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- According to an arrest report, David Sparks has been arrested after police searched a home in Garrard County in connection to the Savannah Spurlock case.

The arrest report says Alan Spark, who lives at the home on Fall Lick Road, smelled a foul odor coming from his property and called his attorney.

Investigators say that, in addition to the fact that David Sparks “is the primary suspect in a missing persons investigation,” led them to search the property.

When searching the property, investigators say they found decomposed human remains.

The arrest report also says other items of evidence were found with the remains and are believed to be connected to the missing persons case.

David Sparks is charged with tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.

The remains found at the home have not been positively identified yet.

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Kentucky State police say human remains have been found outside a home on Fall Lick Road in Garrard County in connection to the Savannah Spurlock case.

Police says the remains were found just before 12 a.m. Wednesday.

They say, due to the time period, a positive identification can not be made at this time.

The remains have been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
