Remains Found in Casey Co. Identified as Whitney Copley
CASEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say human remains found in Casey County over the weekend have been identified as those of 24-year-old Whitney Danielle Copley.
Copley was last seen on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
The Chief Medical Examiner used dental records to make the identification.
According to autopsy findings, there was no trauma to the remains, which will be sent to Knoxville, Tennessee for further investigation into a cause of death.

State Police say the Casey County Sheriff’s office has found human remains. Troopers say Sheriff’s Deputies found the remains Saturday behind Dogwalk market in Dunville.
The remains are now at the medical examiner where staff will try to identify them, according to police.
Troopers say it is too early to connect the remains to a person, but they did confirm that area in Dunville has been a central point in the search for 25-year-old Whitney Copley.
She has been missing for more than a year.
