House fire under investigation in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Montgomery County Fire officials say they responded to a house fire on State Highway 1050 at 3:22 a.m.

Crews say two people woke up to smoke detectors going off in their room.

They say they haven’t figured out where the fire first ignited inside the home.

Montgomery County Fire officials say the two people made it out of the home, and were unharmed.

Crews say the fire was put out by 5:30 a.m.

According to Montgomery County Fire officials, the investigation is still ongoing to determine whether or not the fire started in the kitchen, or in another location inside the home.
