“Hope’s Wings” 7th annual “Jail & Bail”

Richmond, Ky – Hope’s Wings and the Richmond Police Department are arresting folks for a good cause, Madison County’s domestic violence shelter. “The partnership between Richmond Police Department and Hope’s Wings has been long lasting and is important to fight family violence in our community. Jail and Bail is one way that RPD likes to support Hope’s Wings and have a little fun” stated Richmond Police Chief Ebert.
Hope’s Wings is a nonprofit agency providing services to victims of domestic violence and their family. By providing 24/7 emergency shelter and housing, crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling and more—they serve more than 800 victims of violence in the Madison and surrounding counties each year.
Jail and Bail is a fun way to raise money for such an important resource. Participants will be picked up by a Richmond Police Officer at a location of their choice to be escorted to the Hope’s Wings Jail at Central Bank in Richmond OR participants can “turn themselves in”. Each arrestee is asked to raise a $600 bail but are encouraged to keep going as prizes will be given away to the top 3 bail raisers.
Jail and Bail will take place on Friday, April 7th between the hours of 8am-4pm. If you would like to be arrested or nominate someone else to be, please contact Jennifer Lainhart at 859-623-4095 for more information.
