Hit-and-run accident results in water main break

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky American Water says a wet and damaged Lexington road is now repaired and open to traffic.

The company says crews were called to Thunderstick Road Friday morning after a car hit a fire hydrant and drove off.  Kentucky American says the crash cracked the pipe and water main causing a ten-foot hole in the ground and road damage.
The repairs took several hours.
