Historic Grant County church destroyed by strong winds
WILLIAMSTOWN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A historic church in Northern Kentucky is now in ruins after strong winds tore through the region over the weekend.
According to ABC affiliate WCPO, the front half of the Williamstown Presbyterian Church collapsed Saturday night after powerful wind gusts caused the steeple to topple.
Officials say the 140-year-old church, built in 1885, was one of the oldest buildings in Grant County.
