Hillary Clinton scheduled to hold fundraiser in Louisville

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) – Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is scheduled to have a fundraiser in Louisville next week.

Attorney Olivia Anne Morris Fuchs confirmed the fundraiser is scheduled for Nov. 20. Fuchs is the founder of Team Hillary Kentucky and a grassroots organizer for Clinton in the state. Clinton is already scheduled to campaign in nearby Tennessee that same day.

Clinton campaigned twice for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes in 2014. Grimes would go on to lose by 15 percentage points to U.S. Sen Mitch McConnell.

Kentucky Democrats hope Clinton can energize the party following losses for governor and three other statewide elected offices earlier this month. Her husband, Bill Clinton, won Kentucky twice in the 1990s, the last time a Democrat has carried Kentucky in a presidential election.
