Hiker Rescued In Red River Gorge

Crews with the Menifee County Emergency Management rescued a hiker that fell 15 feet at the Red River Gorge.
According to Jennifer Rogers, the emergency management director, they received a call at around 12 a.m. Wednesday about a hiker that fell and was injured.
She said crews arrived at Indian Staircase in the gorge, where the hiker’s two friends were waiting.
They were able pull him up after five hours.
He was airlifted to the University of Kentucky hospital, suffering from broken bones and other injuries.
Rogers said the hiker was a 27-year-old man from Cincinnati.
