HealthFirst Bluegrass, Library announce COVID vaccination clinics at Eastside and Village Branches

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – HealthFirst Bluegrass and the Lexington Public Library announced Thursday they will be extending their weekly COVID-19 vaccination pop-up clinic at the Village Branch through October and offering a new weekly vaccination clinic at the Eastside Branch.

The Eastside Branch, located at 3000 Blake James Drive, will offer vaccinations every Wednesday from September 1 through October 27 from 11am to 4pm while the Village Branch located at 2185 Versailles Road will continue its weekly clinic every Monday from 11am-4pm.  Residents can make a reservation or walk-in.

HealthFirst Bluegrass will be administering the COVID-19 vaccine and will be available to those 18 years of age and older. There is no cost to individuals and open to all in the community.

To date, HealthFirst Bluegrass has administered over 1,000 COVID-19 vaccinations through this partnership with the Lexington Public Library.  “Getting vaccinated is one of the most important ways to help stop this pandemic,” said Heather Dieffenbach, executive director of the Lexington Public Library. “This partnership makes it easier and more equitable for members of our community to safely get vaccinated.”
