Harmon speaks to Rotary Club of Frankfort

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Auditor Harmon spoke to the Rotary Club of Frankfort about his duties.

Wednesday, Harmon touched on Kentucky’s recent findings regarding the unemployment insurance system, legislation he supported, and how the state, county, and city governments are spending Coronavirus Relief Funds.

In early July, Harmon was the first Republican to announce he would run for the Republican gubernatorial nomination in 2023, begging the question, “how early is too early to announce a run for governor?”

“Personally, I think it’s probably going to be a very crowded field all the way around and it’s a little bit early to start, but this is Kentucky, and this is Frankfort. It’s happened before,” said Rotary Club of Frankfort member Lee Troutwine.

On current matters, Harmon’s office is focusing on making sure cities and counties are properly spedning the millions of federal COVID-19 relief funds coming to the state.
