Harlan County road to reopen after rock slide, more work next week

HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – KY 2007 in Harlan County will reopen Friday evening at mile point 3 after being closed for several days by a rock slide.

However, intermittent lane closures will begin Monday, February 1 and will be expected to end Friday, February  5. They are necessary due to completing the remaining cleanup of the slide.

Work hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can access travel and traffic conditions at http://goky.ky.gov or contribute their reports at www.waze.com or via the Waze mobile application.
