Grayson County teacher, coach faces sex abuse charge

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. (AP) – A Grayson County teacher is facing a sexual abuse charge involving a student.

Media outlets report said in a news release that 30-year-old Gavin Logsdon of Leitchfield was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with third-degree rape.

Police say they received a report of inappropriate behavior between Logsdon and a juvenile student on Monday. The investigation is ongoing.

The Grayson County Schools website shows Logsdon teaches and coaches baseball at Grayson County High School.

It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.

A mugshot of Logsdon was not immediately available.
