Grand reopening of Leestown Rd. Kroger scheduled for Oct. 27
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kroger will celebrate the grand reopening of the Leestown Road Kroger located at 1600 Leestown Rd. on Thursday, October 27, at 8:00 a.m.
The official ribbon cutting event will be performed by City of Lexington Mayor, Jim Gray.
The 80,000 square foot neighborhood store offers expanded produce, meat, seafood and deli departments, along with specialty departments, including sushi, a cheese shop, Starbucks, Boar’s Head Meats, and made to order meal stations. A drive-thru pharmacy and Little Clinic are also available.
Located next to the Leestown store is a full service Wine & Spirits Shoppe offering a variety of wine & spirits and select import and craft beers.
“My entire Kroger store team is very excited to present our newly remodeled store to our community”, said store manager Kenny Walton. “We strive each day to deliver a highly satisfying, friendly and fresh shopping experience for our customers.”
The store will be open 24 hours, seven days a week. Pharmacy hours are Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The remodel has created 80 new jobs; the store now employs more than 230 associates.
On grand opening day, the first 500 customers will receive one Fischer’s Sliced Quik Cut Boneless Half Ham.
